GOOD NEWS! Increase in Seniority Pay for Full Time Drivers!!!
Effective Saturday, June 4, 2011, we instituted a new seniority pay scale, as follows:
- After 1 year with Davis Express, all full-time drivers will receive an additional 1 cent per mile (CPM), in addition to the standard yearly mileage pay increase for OTR experience that is already in-place.
- After 2 years, they will receive 2 CPM.
- After 3 years, 3 CPM.
- After 4 years, 4 CPM.
- And after 5 years, 5 CPM.
Drivers who have currently been with Davis Express one year or longer will be receiving anywhere from 1 to 4 cents more per mile, depending on their existing seniority with Davis Express.
Drivers with less than 5 years of OTR experience will still receive their yearly penny-per-mile increase up through 42 CPM, in addition to the seniority pay.
This means that, after 5 years of full-time driving for Davis Express, you will be earning a total of 47 cents per mile, regardless of where you start on the experience pay scale.

Assuming everything else is satisfactory with your application, 3 years of recent varifiable T/T experience should get you in at 40 CPM.

Three complete years of recent verifiable OTR T/T experience should land you around 40 CPM, assuming that the remainder of your application is satisfactory.

I have about 5 years t/t OTR what can I expect if I came to work for davis …do they have a rider program

Two years of verifiable T/T experience within the past 7 would bring you in around 42 CPM.
Concerning a rider program, we do not have one in-place at this time.

Before I had my heart attack, I drove for this company. They have great equipment, loads and pay. Their staff are professional and great to work for. If you ever get a chance to drive for Davis Express, you will not be sorry you did.
