Home:
Davis Express guarantees 48 hours off every other weekend. Due to the fact
that we run in the Southeast, you may be able to get by your house in between
your weekends off, however this is not guaranteed.
School: No.
Pets: Company
Policy says no pets.
Trailers: We use 53' reefers and
dry vans only.
Positions:
We need Southeast Regional drivers. About 95% of all our miles will be in FL,
GA, AL, and SC. We do hire some Florida only drivers occasionally.
Unloading:
We are 99% no touch and pay for lumpers.
Spouses: Yes,
we do have a spouse rider program.
Truck Types: We
have 175 trucks and about 275 trailers. Our trucks vary from the

Miles: The
company average is 2400 miles per week, but we have drivers who consistently run
more and some who run less.
Use Same Truck:
Yes, if you are a full time driver you are assigned to a truck.
Take Truck Home:
If your load gets you by the house and you have a safe place to keep the truck &
trailer, then you may stop by the house with truck.
Dedicated Runs:
No.
Weekend Work: Yes,
but we guarantee our drivers that they will be home at least every other
weekend.
Payment Frequency:
Every Friday your settlement check will be direct deposited to the bank of your
choice.
Retirement:
Our 401K is available after first year's service. Company will match 50%
of your contribution up to 3%.
